I have been Civil War reenacting and building Civil War wood products for several years. Over the years, I have worked hard on reenacting with as much authenticity as possible. I take great pride in offering these ammunition boxes and camp furniture to my fellow reenactors. All products are carefully crafted based on period photographs, where possible. Affordability is greatly considered. If the exact historical specifications were followed (ie: 1-1 1/2" thick lumber, wider boards, etc.), the cost would rise dramitacally. I try to follow the original dimensions as close as possible, keeping affordability in mind. I have "field-tested" prototypes of all these products in the field personally.
